Fond Farewell to Mary

We bid a fond farewell to Mary Barlow at the beginning of the year, and we would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge her many contributions as Co-Founder and Director of Finance & Business Administration.

As a Co-Founder, Mary jumped right in with her 'business startup' knowledge, her accounting and finance expertise, and her years of business acumen. These key skills coupled with her smile, her bright 'can-do' attitude and her passion for helping others made Mary an integral part of Furnish Hope.

Mary enjoyed serving her community alongside the many amazing volunteers and always managed to have a bit of fun in the warehouse. She had a special knack of making volunteers feel seen and appreciated for their time and efforts. Mary thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of Furnish Hope, whether it be organizing the warehouse, calling recipients, backing up a trailer, analyzing the financial data, implementing a new accounting system, or even giving a speech at the auction. She embraced everything to ensure Furnish Hope would thrive.

As we say our goodbyes to Mary, we acknowledge and appreciate the impact she has made. Furnish Hope would not be the organization it is today without her dedication and hard work. Mary will be remembered fondly and will be greatly missed by all of us.
