Talking with Megan Martin

Just three short years after furnishing home number one, the Central Oregon non-profit, Furnish Hope, recently furnished home #1000.  Furnish Hope, whose mission is to Furnish empty houses for those in need, was established in 2019 by long time Central Oregon resident Megan Martin.  On episode 31 of The Circling Podcast, Megan shares the vision of Furnish Hope, a vision where marginalized families in our community have a place to call home by transforming empty houses into warm, welcoming homes for those in need of furniture and household essentials.

Recently Furnish Hope opened a new retail boutique in the Old Iron Works Art District in Bend. Through the resale of community donated upscale home furnishings and décor, this brick-and-mortar storefront aides in supporting the mission and is proving to be a unique way for Furnish Hope recipients to choose the finishing touches for their homes. Thanks Megan. Thank you for taking the time to share your story and the story of Furnish Hope. To say the work that you and your team are doing is changing lives, well, that would be an understatement.
