Sharing holiday magic with Warm Springs
In early December, Furnish Hope delivered holiday magic and joy to hundreds of children and their families in Warm Springs. Over the past year, we had collected beautiful Christmas decorations from our generous community. Then, in partnership with the Warm Springs K-8 Academy and Jefferson Country FAN network, and with the help of a team of festive Furnish Hope volunteers, we transformed the Warm Springs Academy's library and computer center into a winter wonderland.
Guests enjoyed treats donated by Crumbl Cookies while browsing tables full of Christmas decor from which they could select items that would bring a little holiday magic to their own homes. There was even a chance to see Santa and take a holiday family photo!
The entire day had an unmatched energy level - from our volunteers' early morning arrival and busy set-up to the exciting welcome of our holiday guests.
Everyone's smiles said it all: the holidays are a special time of the year!
Our intention is to return to Warm Springs next December and host the second annual 'Home for the Holidays - Christmas Decor Giveaway'. Thanks to long-time Furnish Hope supporters, the Tennant Family (pictured below), we will now have a dedicated storage space to hold holiday decor collected throughout the coming year. What a wonderfully thoughtful - and useful - gift!
