Furnish Hope has changed me. They've shown me that kindness goes a long way.
My name is Imelda and I'm a translator for Furnish Hope. I help communicate Furnish Hope with the Latino Community. Our house got broken into while both my kids were at home. A friend helped us find a new neighborhood and move into our home that we are in now.
When I got the call from Furnish Hope, my first thought was that I wasn’t going to qualify because I own a small business. But that wasn’t the case and Furnish Hope helped us restart our life. What they brought my family wasn’t just furniture, it was hope and kindness. It pushed me to want to help others and to teach my children to help. It changed the way I think: that not everyone is out to get you, that not everyone is bad and that we need to give good people a chance.
